Carlos Mauricio Mendonça Figueiredo (Rio de Janeiro, 1949) y Juvenal de Holanda Vasconcelos (Recife, Pernambuco, 1944) nos transportan a los años 70 con este delicioso disco de folk experimental. El éxito del lanzamiento del disco inédito de 1976 (junto a Joyce y Naná Vasconcelos) animó al productor británico Joe Davis a impulsar la grabación de este disco acústico que muestra composiciones del cantante, compositor y arreglista carioca, creadas a lo largo de su extensa y brillante trayectoria artística, incuyendo dos temas inéditos compuestos para este trabajo ("Água clara" y "Upside down").

Las armonias vocales fluyen con naturalidad y planean sobre las sutiles e hipnóticas percusiones del maestro pernambucano.
